June Make-Up Wishlist: Nude Eyes and Bright Lips

I really have my head in the clouds if I think that I'll be able to afford any of this for this month but isn't that what wishes are for?! Recently I've been wearing a lot of neutral shadows and bright lipsticks. I've completely ditched my signature liquid liner flick for a much more subtle, sculpted look and I'm loving it for Summer. I've even started some gentle contouring with bronzer and I'm feeling so much more confident with my beauty choices these days. The bright lips are turning a lot of heads in my small town but I'm putting it down to the classic "jealousy-gawk." As such, I think it's high time to get some higher quality shadows as "investment" pieces (wink) and throw some even more fun lipsticks into my collection!

1. Maybelline Vivid Lipstick Hot Plum, 2. Benefit Most Glamorous Nudes Ever, 3. Lime Crime My Beautiful Rocket, 4. Stila In The Light, 5. Lime Crime Velvetine, 6. Urban Decay Naked Basics

See? Gorgeous. Am I right or am I right?
1. I have been declaring my unending love for Maybelline's Color Sensational Vivids for a while now and already have 3 (review and swatches here) but Hot Plum is calling my name. I originally deemed it too close in colour to Fuchsia Flash to warrant a purchase but I'm officially retracting the statement, I want! Being the cheapest product in my list it's possible I'll be able to smuggle this one into my collection... I'll keep you posted.
2. I had Benefits Most Glamorous Nudes in my clutches in Cambridge after I had scrimped and saved my Boots points for MONTHS and what do you know, the tills weren't working and I couldn't spend my points. I reluctantly handed my beloved palette back to the grumpy assistant and never saw it again. My lust hasn't subsided and I'm determined to get it one day!
3. Lime Crime is the stuff of my dreams. I adore oranges and My Beautiful Rocket is perfection in a tube. I have a similar shade from Models Own but I imagine the pigmentation and lasting power of this is infinitely superior. One please!
4. The In The Light palette is so friggin' pretty! I love the colours and the swatches I've seen have been incredible. I'm also really excited about the liner included as I've been searching for the perfect brown liner for a while and I love this deep chestnut shade.
5. Lime Crime makes an impressive second appearance with it's beautiful Velvetines. I've heard tell that there will be some new colours in the future and I can't wait to see them! Frankly I'd take any of them; it's the stunning rose petal texture that has me clamouring for my purse and I think these are the epitome of old Hollywood Glamour.
6. Last but far from least. Velvety smooth and richly pigmented, the much loved Basics have been at the top of my list for way too long and it's high time I took them home. One day, I promise you Naked Basics, one day.

Has your wishlist just grown? I would love to hear any comments about the products shown if you've tried them!

Wishlist: Topshop Make-Up

1/2/3/4/5/6

Last night during the #bbloggers chat a lot of the girls started talking about Topshop since there's currently free delivery on until Saturday with the code TREATME. I've actually been eyeing up the Topshop make-up for ages and I see great reviews all the time. Sadly my local store doesn't stock it and I actually got some really awful dirty looks for asking about it. I always seem to come across the nastiest staff in Topshop. I don't know if it's in the handbook that they have to be rude to people that won't fit in Leigh jeans but frankly, it kinda pisses me off. Regardless of my personal experience, I still find myself lusting over these cute cosmetics and these are the bits that are top of my list!

1. Blush in Flush £6
A really pretty peachy pink that is so flattering for pale skintones. I adore cream blushes, probably much more so than powder blushes. I find that they give a much more natural finish and last forever since a small amount goes such a long way. I also think the price is fairly reasonable and I love the cute packaging. I wish the website would tell me how much product is in it though, it's a bit difficult to judge if it's worth the money!
2. Lip Paint in Low Down £8
Honestly, this is a bit more than I would ideally like to pay, but oh my gosh I need it! It's a fluro bright orange liquid lipstick with a glossy finish. It sounds a lot like the Rimmel Apocalips (which I quite like) but I haven't seen a colour like this in this finish anywhere else. I recently discovered that I love orange lips on myself and this would be such a Summer staple!
3. Lip Stick in Coy £7
I'm still on the look out for my perfect nude lip and this peachy colour looks like it could be the one. It claims to also be a matte finish so hopefully it would also have some lasting power. So pretty.
4. Highlighter in Sunbeam £10
A beautiful golden, powder highlighter. Undeniably, this is probably the most hyped up item from the Topshop make-up range in the blogosphere. Even Lisa Eldridge uses this. Ideally I'd prefer Crescent moon (which was even more raved about) but sadly it's no longer available. I think this will look beautiful in the Summer with a light tan!
5. Nail in Plume £6
The most beautiful iridescent purple glitter nail varnish ever! This reminds me of a more blue/gold toned version of Illamasqua's Baptiste which you can see here. Utterly gorgeous.
6. Blush in Prime Time £6
This is something that was specifically recommended by a couple of people in the chat and I can see why! It's so pretty and I think a flush of pink like this is perfect for that just-out-the-wind fabulousness that Spring demands. It's another cream blush and it's an absolute must for me!

Altogether this comes to £43 which I don't think is exorbitant but it may be just a smidge out of reach for me right this second... However, the boyfriend does get paid tomorrow so maybe he could lend a penny or two to a beauty blogger in need? I'll keep you posted and I'm sure you'll see me gushing on twitter if I manage to reach the check out!

Have you got a Topshop make up wishlist? What's at the top of it for you?

"High End" 2013 Wishlist

2013 is going to be the year of new beauty experiences for me. I literally own nothing that would be considered "high end" and generally, I have absolutely no problem with this. Drugstore makeup is of fantastic quality these days and doesn't come with the exorbitant price tag. However, blogging has shunted me into a world of shiny, beautiful, expensive things and I suddenly find myself lusting after products I never really thought about up until a couple of months ago. Put it this way, I'd never heard of MAC. What a crime! So this is just a little list of items that I fully intend on owning this year.

Clockwise from top left: Real Techniques Core Collection, NARS Blush in Outlaw, Urban Decay Vice Palette, MAC Lipstick in Lady Danger

Real Techniques Core Collection: Okay so strictly this needn't be considered "high end" for what you get, I find that the price is very reasonable. However, I do have to wonder why it's £21.99 from Boots and only $18 on the Real Techniques website. I'm not sure if they ship to the UK but I intend on buying these with my Boots points. Hello freebies!
NARS Blush in Outlaw: Oh I need one. I know I don't need one but I need one. I'm not 100% sure which colour I'll go for yet but I adore the look of Outlaw. A soft raspberry with a gold sheen. Absolutely beautiful. I just hope it's not too dark for my skin tone. £21. I'm sure I can justify it somehow.
MAC Lipstick in Lady Danger: A MAC lipstick is an absolute staple. Again, I'm not 100% sure which shade is for me but look at Lady Danger! A matte orange toned red that packs a serious punch. Stunning. £14.
Urban Decay Vice Palette: I know everyone is all about the Naked palettes but honestly, I truly feel that my MUA Undressed Palette is all I need in that area. I know that the quality is probably very different but for the price, Urban Decay can't beat my £4 drugstore gem. BUT, look at the Vice Palette. Look at it's shining gloriousness. Look at it's incredible colours and whimsical names. LOOK AT IT! I'm dying to get my grubby mitts on this. It's going to have to be my first big purchase of the year because of it's limited edition status. I'm hoping that I'll be getting some late Christmas money soon and I know exactly where it's going. £42 and hopefully worth every penny.

I'm certain this list will be added to as the new releases start filtering down to us lowly mortals, but for now I'm satisfied and my targets are set.

What do you think of my choices? Are you plunging into any unknown beauty territory this year?
